Dear Kayli, Chloe, and Brody,
We had a sit-on-the-front-porch kind of morning.
The air and the leaves and the colors whispered, This- is fall.
And your voices and smiles and giggles not-so-much whispered (announced, maybe?), This- is good.
With nothing but milk and granola bars and a freshly raked pile of leaves calling our names, I decided to “interview” you.
Just for a second, I wanted to capture you -zoomed in and slowed down- because you? Are breath-taking.
Kayli, you are The Little Mermaid and violet, pesto cavatappi and You Belong With Me.
You are apple picking, walks and Halloween. Peppermint patties and Nancy Drew.
You are Mondays because you love to dance.
Seven words for seven years old – In between little and big, perfectly scrumptious.
Chloe, you are Shrek 4 and pink, candy and Forget You.
You are the Mall of America, movie nights and Halloween. Sour gummy worms and Junie B. Jones.
You are Fridays because you get snack at school and get to go to Keely’s house.
Five words for five years old – Golden heart with magenta flair.
Brody, you are Finding Nemo and blue, pancakes and Down By the Bay.
You are the zoo, baking cookies and Halloween. Lollipops and Baby Beluga.
You are Mondays because you have swim lessons, your very own class.
Three words for three years old – Loves big, unconditionally.
Together, you are Tangled and every shade of yellow, rainbow pancakes and You Are My Sunshine.
You are the park, Band Hero and Halloween. Chocolate chip cookies and Alexander.
You are Fridays because that’s when we give into cozy, watch a movie in bed- with breakfast, before school.
There are simply not enough words in this big wide world to tell you this- but wow, are you ever loved.
Thanks to my lovely friend, Alison-

What a great way to capture your children. Such a loving tribute to them.
PS. If Chloe needs someone to take her to Mall of America, you just let me know. I’ll make the trip.
This is a beautiful letter for your children. I love the way you have written it. I must try and emulate it for my Monkey.
The words bring them to life in my mind.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.
Loved how your wrapped up each kid in the same number of words as their age. Beautiful! Bordy’s “crazy face” is adorable too! (as are all the rest of your kiddos!)
How beautiful this is. Love the words per age! Thank you for stopping by and saying hello. So nice to make your acquaintance!
Darlene
Ah, I love this idea! What a great way to capture them at this moment in time.
can we do this as a blog hop? I am going to go home and ask my kiddos these questions and post this too…so that I remember, and they remember.
WOW Galit, what a gorgeous family you have, those beautiful smiles and thoughts and likes …all sewn up in three perfect little people….my heart is soaring learning so much about them. Give them a HUG today from me.
I think they are pretty special too!!! xo
I love how you captured them…so incredibly perfect. xo
How about 27 words for a 27 year old (because that’s your age, right?)
“It’s such a wonder to read how much you love your life, and your family, and yourself. Thank you for taking us on the journey with you.”
I know you feel it’s the other way around, but they’re blessed beyond measure to have you as their mother. I love that you truly see and cherish them.
I counted; that’s 29 words, so you must be 29??? Yes? xoxo
I am now crying. It’s a good cry for sure. Reminds of how much I cherish my little boy. He also drives me crazy and makes me better. This was so incredibly sweet and well-written. I love how poetic you are!
I love how you described your children. I could close my eyes right now and see them perfectly. Love how you associated them with movies, foods, and adventures to the zoo. And oh how I wish I could be described as ” a golden heart with magenta flair”.
I’m so glad you wrote this Galit, beautiful words for your beautiful children. Just right. Just enough.
(thank you for the shout out!)

Awesome! I am the mom of boy who is Star Wars clips on You.tube. You are pockets filled with rocks, a room filled with important junk needed for imagniative play, a hugger and the best sense of humor ever.
What a BEAUTIFUL family you have. Just beautiful. Love this post and love that you gave us all a little glimpse into who they are at this age.
Zoomed in and slowed down.
Yes.
We never get enough of that, do we?
There’s too much “big picture” and “hurry up” in the world.
But not here.
I love this! You captured them so beautifully and so perfect!
(Love this idea! I may have to follow behind you and Alison!)
That is just lovely. And your kids are going to look at this and see how incredibly loved and special they all are. I think I might print this to remind me to do something similar for my daughter. I would be so fun to do one for her baby book!

You, your children, and this post are beautiful. I love the route you took to describe them. And think I might just have to borrow it for a little scrapbook journaling….well, by that I mean write it up, save the file for the day I get back to scrapping. Beautiful. :>
